7. Cleaning and maintenance

Maintenance activity daily weekly monthly every

4 months

Lubricate reagent bottle O-rings √√∗

and check for damage.

Wipe dry retort and lid √

after completing retort clean cycle.

Clean exterior of instrument √

with soft cloth and minimal

amount of xylene.

Check retort strainer √

for any tissue or wax debris.

Remove residual paraffin √

from inner surface of wax bath lid.

Inspect and, if necessary, √

clean retort lid seal.

Inspect and, if necessary, √

clean wax bath lid seal.

Inspect and, if necessary, √

adjust paraffin levels.

Inspect reagent container fluid levels. √
