Recording
Applicable modes:
Using this mode, camera shake during picture taking is detected, and the camera
automatically compensates for it, enabling less blurred, or even blur-free images to be
taken.
When recording motion pictures, “Active Mode” (stabilizer for motion pictures) will
automatically function. This decreases image when recording blurring
motion pictures
while walking, etc.
[OFF]/[ON]
Notes
The Stabilizer function may not be effective in the following cases.
Make sure to hold the camera steady while pressing the shutter release button.
When there is a lot of camera shake.
When the zoom magnification is high.
In digital zoom range.
When taking pictures while following a moving subject.
When the shutter speed becomes slower due to darker subjects.
The setting is fixed to [ON] in [HANDHELD NITE SHOT] in [NIGHT PORTRAIT].
When [ON] in the Scene Mode [PANNING] is selected, the Optical Image Stabilizer is only
available when using in the vertical orientation.
The setting is fixed to [OFF] in [STARRY SKY], [HIGH SPEED VIDEO] and [3D PHOTO
MODE] in Scene Mode.
In “Active Mode”, a stronger effect of the correction can be achieved at the wide end.
In the following case, “Active Mode” will not function even when recording motion pictures.
When [REC MODE] is set to [VGA] in [MP4]
